My name is Terry Thomas C.F.C., President of Agent Online.

Throughout the last 30 years, I have been a Professional Salesperson, Senior Estimator, General Manager, Business Owner, Certified Financial Consultant, Sales Trainer.

Throughout my career I have always wondered if there is a better way of doing things; and have found that when someone tells me that something can’t be done, it usually can with some surprising results.

In 2000, I had a very successful financial practice (member of the Million Dollar Club, Editor of the Institute of Financial Consultants news magazine, Presidents Advisory Club) and did business with over 1200 families located throughout the province of British Columbia. I had been in a car accident that made subsequent traveling very difficult.

Where I had  driven or flown to meetings and used a laptop and presentation booklet when presenting in person, I needed to find alternate tools to solve my travel issues, yet still do personal presentations and meet with clients and prospects. The tools available (Skype, Go To Meeting) did one but not all that I needed; they did not support the 3 dimensional communication required to emulate a sales situation. I began to look at the Internet as a Tool to replace travel, yet still integrate the personal sales process.

The development of Agent Online Communication and Marketing  `Tool Kit` had  began.

The first order of business was to analyze our approach and identify what we needed:

  • A means for client education
  • Instant Connect and Live Audio/Visual communication capabilities
  • Interactive presentation room
  • Interactive white board to demonstrate and interact

The next step was to integrate marketing, our solutions included:

  • Target Marketing strategies
  • Networking and Center of Influence program to promote word of mouth advertising
  • Agent Sites to showcase  and enhance credibility, enable Virtual Communication and provide a “control center” for sales and marketing activities

Unlike other systems that require a software install,  we leverage the software that 96% of computers have installed at the factory, to initiate the Instant Connect to transition into 3 dimensional communication.
